What counts as a “watcher”?

Under the hood we bill by the total minutes streamed to your viewers each month, pooled across your whole church. To keep plans easy to understand, we describe that as “watchers” — one watcher is about an hour of viewing a week (~240 minutes a month). So “about 15 watchers” is roughly 3,600 pooled minutes. Your notification list is always unlimited — you only pay for actual viewing, and if you go over your plan’s minutes, additional minutes are billed per 1,000 (and get cheaper on higher plans).

Is our notification list really unlimited?

Yes. Notify as many people as you like on every plan — text, email, browser, and Planning Center. Reaching people is the point, and it costs us almost nothing, so we don’t cap it.

What is a channel?

A channel is a recurring stream your church runs — like your Sunday Service, a midweek Bible study, a youth service, or a Spanish-language service. Each channel has its own RTMP/SRT connection, its own go-live notifications and subscribers, its own watch page, and its own Shepherd’s Report. Small includes 1 channel, Medium 2, and Large 3 — so you can run separate services or congregations side by side. Custom is unlimited.

What’s the “pooled viewing”?

Each plan includes a shared pool of streaming minutes — roughly an hour a week per watcher, pooled across your whole church, so quiet weeks cover busy ones. Your streaming minutes reset on the 1st of every month. If you go over, additional minutes are billed per 1,000 at your plan’s rate (cheaper on higher plans).

How does billing work?

Month-to-month, no long-term contract. There’s a one-time $19 setup fee — which includes a live onboarding class for your team — when you start a paid plan (after your free trial), and it’s free to upgrade later. Pay annually and get two months free (~17% off). Payments are processed securely through Stripe, and you can change plans or cancel anytime.

Is there a setup fee?

Yes — a one-time $19 fee when you start a paid plan at the end of your free trial. It includes a live onboarding class for your team — so everyone’s confident going live, capturing viewers, and working the Shepherd’s Report — plus provisioning your channel. Is there a free trial?

How long do you keep our recordings?

Every service is auto-recorded for on-demand replay, and how long we keep the archive grows with your plan: 30 days on Small, 90 days on Medium, and a full year on Large. Custom plans set their own retention.

Do we need new hardware?

Accepted Answer

No new camera or hardware. Send us your existing RTMP or SRT feed from the encoder or streaming provider you already use, and PealCast hosts it — we’re your live destination, not an add-on to YouTube or Facebook.
